Pregnancy Advisory Notice

At Monk Park Farm, your safety is important to us. We advise pregnant visitors to avoid contact with lambs, sheep, and their environments due to a small risk of infection.

Certain infections — including toxoplasmosis, chlamydiosis and listeriosis — can be carried by sheep and may pose a risk during pregnancy. While rare, these infections can potentially cause complications.

To reduce any risk, we strongly recommend that pregnant visitors:

• Avoid direct contact with lambs, sheep, and their enclosures

• Do not assist with lambing or handle lambs

• Wash hands thoroughly after visiting any animal areas
