Calf Care Experience
Ever wondered what it takes to care for some of the youngest members of the Monk Park Farm flock?
Join one of our experienced farmers for an exclusive Private Calf Experience and spend time behind the scenes getting hands-on with our calves while learning all about their care, feeding and daily routines.
Your experience begins with a short safety briefing before heading in to meet the calves and getting stuck into life as one of our farmers.
You'll start by making up their milk and preparing their feeds, before getting the chance to bottle-feed the calves yourself.
Then it’s time to roll up your sleeves and help with some of their daily care. You’ll get involved with mucking out and freshening up their area, before spending some quality time with the calves.
You'll be able to brush and cuddle them, learn about their different personalities and even have a go at halter training under the guidance of one of our experienced farmers.
It’s a proper hands-on experience and a chance to see what goes into looking after our calves every day, with plenty of calf cuddles along the way!

Important Information
- Ages 16+ only
- Minimum of 2 participants
- Maximum of 4 participants per experience
- Please bring a change of clothes, you will get mucky!
- Wellies are required
- Closed-toe footwear must be worn
- Experiences are subject to animal welfare requirements, and elements may occasionally need to be adapted depending on the needs of our calves on the day
Accessibility
We want as many people as possible to enjoy our Private Calf Experience.
If anyone in your group has any accessibility requirements, additional needs or mobility considerations, please contact us before booking so we can discuss the experience with you and make any reasonable adjustments where possible.
As this is a working farm experience, some areas include uneven ground, gates, bedding and narrow access points. Unfortunately, this means some parts of the calf areas may not be accessible to standard wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

Visiting when the farm is closed?
If Monk Park Farm is closed to general visitors on the day of your experience, you'll still be able to enjoy your Private Calf Experience as booked. Your group will also receive complimentary return admission passes so you can come back and enjoy a full day at the farm on another date, subject to our terms and conditions.
